Our solar system and beyond.

This is a project you put on the wall and it has our solar system. It also has some distant stars in the background.... that's why we call it "our solar system - and beyond.MATERIALS:
A blank canvas
paint
paper
glue
glitter paint
Mod Podge
yellow and white tissue paper
colored pencil (including white)
sharpie

DIRECTIONS
1. Take the blank canvas and paint it all black - let it dry all the way.
TIP: While the paint is drying you can make the planets. Make sure each planet is the right size. Google "planet sizes" - that helped us.
2. Glue the planets on... and don't forget the sun!
3. Now draw the orbits. Make sure there's a lot of space between Mars and Jupiter. TIP: Make sure Pluto's orbit dips into Neptune's orbit - that way people will know it's not a planet.
4. Glue the asteroid belt on (with white tissue paper). That's why you need to put a little space between Mars and Jupiter.
5. Now write the names of each object on paper - even Pluto even though it's not a planet.Put the rings on Uranus (on the side) and Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune (rings wrapped around themselves).
6. Write the title ("Space that never ends!)and put glitter on it.

How to make your pets healthy and happy

This is not a project, it's just a nice tip for pets! Pets need the same things we do. For example, they need food, water, and air to breath (except fish). They also need love. A way to make your pets happy is when you are around your cat, dog, hamster or guinea pig if you have one, you should be calm and nice. Because these pets are shy and get spooked very easily. So be nice to them, and very gentle. Fish are like this, too... actually fish you can't even touch - they're too fast. Now we'll talk about the ones that can't get spooked very easily. For example, cows (if you have a farm) don't get spooked very easily. Butif you do get them spooked you should get out of their gate quickly. But don't run because because they'll chase after you. And another tip you should do if you have fish: clean their bowl if the water starts to look a little smeary. Because once it get's really smeary it will probably start to stink. And you don't wan't the smell of fish water all over your house, do you?!?!

Plant house - an easy greenhouse

This is an inexpensive and easy project that you can do. You have to have right supplies, but you don't need the exact supplies we used.
Supplies:
-A box cut in half
-plastic wrap
-wood sticks, skewers or stakes
-tape (clear packing tape works great)
-And the most important thing... plants!

STEPS:

1. Decorate your box if you want to. We learned the hard way it was difficult once the stakes were in place!
2. Carefully tape the stakes in place (see picture)
3. Put plastic wrap on the sides first.

Note: If you have a two-year-old brother, or other little ones, running around messing everything up, please lock them out of the room.

4. Cut a long sheet of plastic wrap.
5. Tape it to the back of the box first; next tape it to the stakes at the top rear, then the top front. The rest should hang down in front.
6. Attach another stake or similar weight to the the end, where the "door" will hang down.
7. Poke some holes for carbon dioxide and oxygen can enter and leave.

And now you have yourself a great greenhouse just ready for plants. Just remember it's pretty small, so don't put big plants in it.
